Charles L. Quinnelly
The. Rev. Charles L. Quinnelly, 84, of Winchester, Va. died on Aug. 15, 2015 at Blue Ridge Hospice.
The Rev. Quinnelly was born on June 1, 1931 in Meridian. He was the son of Lillian Stennis Beddingfield and Charles Edward Quinnelly. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 49 years, Barbara, his son, Brian and his grandson, James.
Surviving are his sister Seleta Henderson (Hurdle) of Meridian; daughter, Pam Fisher (Jack) of Middletown, Va.; son, Mike (Cindy) of Winchester, Va., son, Denver (Cathy) of Winchester, Va.; granddaughter, Jennifer of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandson, Ryan of Fort Collins, Colo., and granddaughters, Morgan and Madelyn of Winchester, Va.
The Rev. Quinnelly was a retired Southern Baptist minister and a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Winchester, Va. He was a former member of Blackwater Baptist Church in Daleville for 55 years where he served as deacon and lay preacher. He later served as an elder and lay preacher at Faith Baptist Church in Stephens City, Va. Rev Quinnelly was an Air Force veteran having served in the Korean War from 1950-52.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. at Robert Barham Funeral Home in Meridian. The funeral will be held at Blackwater Baptist Church in Daleville on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015, at 11 a.m. with burial in the church cemetery. Serving as pall bearers will be Ryan Quinnelly, Greg Egbert, Chuck Egbert, Hurdle Henderson, Billy Holloway and Scott McCarty. The Revs. Jerry Walkowiak, Fred Hudson, and Gary Rivers will be officiating.
