May Chapter Meeting Highlights
Brett Osborn, a member of KWVA Chapter 313 was the guest speaker at our May 11th meeting. Brett delivered a very interesting and informative account of Gen. Daniel Morgan and his band of troops known as the “Dutch Mess” who fought in the French and Indian War as well as in the Revolutionary War. Many thanks to Brett for his great presentation.
Tim Rickman made Honorary Member of Chapter 313.
At the May 11th Chapter meeting we were pleased to recognize and thank Timothy D. Rickman and welcome him as an Honorary member of our Chapter for his many years of assistance to
our members by providing much needed transportation in his Military Vehicles during the Apple Blossom Firefighters Parade, the Stephens City Heritage Day Parade, the Middletown Fourth of July Parade and on a couple of occasions, to the Memorial Day Parade in Washington, DC. Without Tim’s assistance, we would not have been able to participate in these events.
Tim’s Honorary Membership certificate was presented to him by his good friend and Chapter 313 member Gary Fletcher while Lew Ewing presented Tim with one of our Chapter Challenge coins, and a $250.00 check to help defray a portion the expenses incurred for our benefit.
