June 14th Flag Day Ceremony
It was a warm summer day, However approximately fifty people turned out in the heat for the Flag Day ceremony at our Korea War Memorial on June 14th in Jim Barnett Park.
The ceremony was sponsored by the Colonel James Wood II Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.
Six of our Chapter 313 members who are also members of the SAR participated. Doug Hall, Brett Osborn and Bill Schwetke were part of the SAR Color Guard, while Marshall DeHaven led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to our Flag.
Gary Fletcher presented a wreath at our Memorial and KWVA Chapter 313 Commander Lew Ewing spoke on behalf of our Chapter.
We wish to thank our fellow Compatriots from the Colonel James wood II Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution for extending this honor to our KWVA Chapter.
