NOTES FROM THE CHAPLAIN

This month, your Members’ Service committee is asking for a little help. I’m certain you have noticed that we have quite a few comrades on our “Concerns List.” We have seven people on our committee, who make calls
and occasional visits to these and other members. We are handling that rather well (thank you, committee members!) but we could use another person or two on our committee. Please consider joining us! In addition, we have requests to do a little more in the way of providing some occasional transportation to meetings and some of our other activities for some of those who are unable to drive. If this is something with which you could help, please let me know. Here are a few of those on our current concerns list. They would really appreciate a call – even a short one. FLASH !!!! UPDATE
For those who have not received the word, Tony Bencivenga has passed away at the Martinsburg VA Hospital on Thursday July 27th after a struggle with Cancer. Funeral was held at Culpeper National cemetery on August 4th, 2017.
Also, Charles Hoak has been transferred from the Cork St Rehab Center to his home on August 5th, recovering from a stroke suffered on July 14th. He is accepting visitors for short periods. Call ahead of your visit to make sure of no conflicts with the therapists.
