February Meeting Highlights.
The February meeting was held on Feb 13th at the American Legion Post 21 meeting room. Chaplain Raleigh Watson began the invocation with a moment of silence in respect for our departed member Jack Lewis.
Our guest speaker for this meeting was SAR member Larry Johnston.
Larry Johnston addressing our Chapter 313 members. Larry gave a very informative talk on the hardships suffered by General George Washington and his troops during the winter of 1777 at Valley Forge. He also displayed a collection of artifacts of that era.
Larry continues his lecture explaining weapons and equipment most likely used at that time.
Larry Johnston accepts a Chapter challenge coin from Vice-Commander Dave Clark after a very interesting program.
