April Fund Raising Event

April 20th and 21st were the beginning days of this year’s fund raising schedule.

Many members of Chapter 313 gathered at Walmart on Pleasant Valley Rd to work the various shifts and to greet the many donors who visited at our tables set up there. Friday was very windy and cold, and the wind tried to blow all our brochures away, but Saturday turned out to be very pleasant for this event.

Lew Ewing hands a “Rose of Sharon” flower to one of the many donors stopping by. We will do this again in June and also in August.

Chapter 313 Member Interviews

On April 25th,  TV Anchor Mike Walter of the Washington DC office of CGTN America and his film crew travelled to Winchester to do live interviews with four members of Chapter 313 at our Korea War Memorial in Jim Barnett Park.

CGTN America is the American division of CGTN. CGTN is the collection of international language news channels run by Chinese state broadcaster China Central Television. It is based in Washington, D.C. and manages bureaus across North and South America

Those interviewed were Lew Ewing, Narce Caliva, Jack Keep and Paul Bombardier.
