COMMANDER'S COMMENTS

David Clark
After a most busy spring and summer, it is nice to slow down and enjoy some idle time. As I’ve said many times, we’re the busiest chapter in the KWVA and our closeness to the District allows the Korean Embassy to request our assistance in many of their activities, requiring even more of our time and effort.
In the days ahead, we are facing an election for a 1st Vice Commander and a 2nd Vice Commander, Jack Kronenberger is the Chairman of the Nominating Committee and he very well might be calling you to see if you’ll step forward and take a leading role in our chapter. The remaining officers of the Board have agreed to serve again next year.
I don’t need to remind you, that this is your chapter and you need to do everything in your power to see that it flourishes in the future.
Marshall DeHaven has decided to give up the position as Hospitality Chairman, so we need to find someone to fill this valuable position. “Peachie” said that he’d help the new Chairman in carrying out the duties of that position. Don’t be bashful, let me know that you’d be willing to take this job.
Reminder to mark your calendar on October 6th, the chapter is invited to the Caliva residence for a 30-50-60-90 celebration. This is a remarkable couple and would appreciate us paying our respects on this occasion.
I’m working to get speakers for 2020, and at this time have very month filled with the exception of July, August,, September, and October, and if anyone has someone they’d recommend as a program speaker, let me know.
