NOTES FROM THE CHAPLAIN

Immediately after “going to press” for our last issue, we received word of Ollie “Buck” Thompson’s death – too late for that issue.
We send our deepest condolences to his family and we shall miss his wonderful, friendly presence at our meetings. Many of you know that he served as our chaplain for quite some time.
Here is an update on some of our members:
Jack Kronenberger had a bout with pneumonia and was in the hospital and rehab since our last “Chatter” issue. He is doing well and is now back with his daughter. Cell phone is: 540 450-6694
Ralph Martin is at “The Willows,” and settled in rather well. No visitors are allowed in these establishments – not even family. You may check on him through his wife, Norma, at the home number. (below)
Don Jones is home, and calls are appreciated.
Charles Boyce is at the VA Hospital in Martinsburg, WVA. His room number is 5th Floor, Ward B, Room 340. You may call him at 304-263-0811, Ext 2952. This will take you to the nursing station in Ward B who will connect you to Charles.

Other than the Corona-virus, there is not much KWVA news this month. Therefore, the format has changed slightly.
Note: Please check the Dues Due section for your name and send in your dues payment.. Several members have allowed their membership to lapse in recent months. KWVA National is quick to remove your name from the Roster, This cuts off your Graybeards and Chapter Chatter newsletter.
During the month of April, we sadly lost one member, Ollie “Buck” Thompson. See page 3 for details. “Buck” was a special friend to many, and he will be missed.
