On June 6th, five of us had lunch in Annandale, VA with a group of Republic of Korea Field-Grade Officers who were in the States touring and attending seminars.

Attending from our Chapter were Narce Caliva, Lew Ewing, Charles Hoak, Don Netschke and Bill Scott.

In the picture on the right are four of the ROK officers; an Air Force Colonel, two Army Lt. Cols. and a Navy Captain, a Korean/American who served in the ROK Army during the War and Lew Ewing.

On June 17th and 18th, under the outstanding leadership of Chairman, Richard Boxwell, we held another very successful Chapter fundraiser at the Walmart store located on Route 522 south. Dick wants to thank all of our members who were willing to work at least one time slot on Friday and Saturday. In spite of the fact we lost four hours on Friday due to threatening weather, it still was a record day for us.

On June 24th, ten of us attended a Wreath Laying ceremony at our Memorial in D.C. where our ROK friends commemorated the 66th anniversary of the beginning of the Korean War on June 25, 1950. The Wreath Laying ceremony was followed by a luncheon hosted by the ROK Ambassador. Attending were Narce Caliva, Steve Culbert, Marshall DeHaven, Lew Ewing, Charles Hoak, Jack Keep, Jack Kronenberger, Don Netschke, Bill Scott and Herb Taylor.
