Commanders comments (From Page 1)
The bus then transported us to the Women’s Memorial where we were treated to a very delicious lunch. After which we were transported to the Korean War Memorial on the Mall for a program starting at 4:30pm.
All the pomp and ceremony of the program including Korean ladies in traditional dress and the wreaths laying was quite impressive also.
The warm bus ride after a long day arrived back in Front Royal at about 7:33pm. We were about half way home however before Jack Keep declared his body had reached room temperature.
This is another event everybody should experience.
NOTES FROM THE CHAPLAIN
Rev. Raleigh Watson
Our condolences go to Raymond Carter on the loss of his daughter. Raymond, our prayers are with you at this difficult time. Also on our condolence list is Harold Miller, whose brother Thomas Pinckney
passed away 11/24/17 He was a PFC, in the US Army, in Korea 1951-1952. He lived in South Carolina. Ed Reel has been in the hospital with a kidney stone, but returned home the day before Thanksgiving, however, upon getting home, he fell and as he was in pain, was returned to WMC and readmitted. While visiting Ed on Sunday the 26th, was advised that Ed is scheduled for intestinal surgery on Tuesday. After surgery, It is expected that he will be transferred to a rehab facility for further recovery. Romie Nickles says he has good days and not so-good days and is pretty much confined to home with pulmonary fibrosis. He appreciates a call. Charles Hoak is continuing to recover and having therapy at home. He welcomes visitors, but please call and arrange a convenient time, so as not to interfere with his therapy schedule.
Those listed below are a few on our current concerns list. They would really appreciate a call – even a short one. Some would appreciate a visit, but call first. You might send a card or note from time-to-time, and let them know we are thinking about them.
