Recruitment Committee Breakfast. 

The recruitment Committee held it's first meeting of the Winchester Veterans Group led by Rev Paul Campbell. Since Paul was absent due to his recent heart attack requiring bypass surgery at the VA hospital in Washington, DC. The meeting  chaired by Group Secretary Rodney Yonkers. Five members of our Chapter attended the meeting with Rodney Yonkers being the only new member.

Attending the meeting were : L-R Isaac Lutrell, Rodney Yonkers, Josh Morimoto, Diane Lutrell, Charles Savary Sr. and Raymond Carter.

Charles Savary Sr. who works with the White House Hot-Line provided the following information to the group..

1. The White House VA Hotline is 1-855-948-2311. Calls are answered by a live agent 24 hours, 7 days a week, and 365 days /year. They will work with Veterans to help them with any questions for service from the VA that the Veteran requires.

2. You can call the VA National Call Center at 1-800-827-1000 to obtain information regarding any services you seek through the Veterans Benefit Administration.

3. The VA will provide care to Veterans through community providers when the VA cannot provide the needed care through its "Mission Act Community Care Program" at www.gov

Community Care is based on specific eligibility requirements, availability of VA care, and the needs and circumstances of individual Veterans,

We are pleased to recognize and welcome two new members, Andrew Hunter and Rodney Yonkers, who recently Joined our Chapter.

Please be sure t introduce yourself to them and make them feel welcome. Rodney was recruited by Josh Morimoto, and Andrew was recruited by Ron Wenger.
