Chapter 313 Annual Meeting

The Annual membership meeting, required by the Chapter by-laws was held on Tuesday December 13, at A.L. Post #21. Included on the agenda was holding the annual election of Officers for year 2017 after the nominations were closed.  

The installation of Officers by the KWVA National Secretary and Past Chapter Commander Lew Ewing are:

Commander. Ray E. Ewing           

1st Vice Cdr. Joshua T. Morimoto

2nd Vice Cdr. David E. Clark      

Secretary, Paul E. Bombardier

Treasurer, John J. Kronenberger

Along with the above, the highlight of the meeting was the presentation of an Honorary Chapter Membership to Winchester Mayor Elizabeth Minor by Commander Don Netschke. 

This award was in recognition of all her efforts and assistance to the Chapter during the Design and Construction of the Korean War Memorial in Jim Barnett Park. 

     After this event, Commander Don Netschke presented a certificate to Charles Hoak in Honor of being named “Member of the Year” for 2016, for his dedication and efforts on behalf of the Chapter.

“Wreaths Across America”.

On December 17th, approximately 150 volunteers gathered at the Winchester, VA. National Cemetery to place over 2,500 wreaths on graves in Honor of deceased Veterans buried there as part of our Nations’ efforts to remember those who fought and died defending our Country. Three KWVA Chapter members, Marshall “Peachie” DeHaven, Josh Morimoto and Ed Ellis participated in this year’s wreath laying.
