Joint Christmas Meeting
On Thursday Dec 8th, six members of our Chapter travelled to Springfield, VA for the Joint Meeting of KWVA Chapters at A.L. Post 176. The occasion was to witness the installation of Officers for KWVA Chapter #100 for the coming year, and to meet and
welcome Brig. Gen. Pyo Se Woo, who is a West Point Graduate and the new Diplomatic Military Attaché at the Korean Embassy. Gen. Pyo is replacing Major Gen. Shin, who is returning to South Korea at the end of his assignment. It was a nice meeting of fellow KWVA Veterans, who recounted their service in Korea. Many were “Chosin Few” survivors. After some comments from Bruce “Rockey” Harder, on the MIA body recovery program, Don Howell on the Korea Re-Visit program, and KWVA Executive Director Jim Fisher with an update on the 2017 National Convention, we all shared a nice lunch and stories.
