COMMANDER'S COMMENTS
As we passed through February and come into March we should be receiving improving weather conditions. As the snow melts mother nature labors to bring beauty to our Valley with the budding of the red bud trees, forsythia and the greeting of our yards and other foliage. I get a smile just thinking about it.
As we transition into the warmer weather the Chapter becomes busier. There are several events that are in the offering in the near future. The KWVA Maryland and Virginia regional get together will be held on Wednesday, April 13th at Chapter 312 in Funkstown, MD. Starting time is

11:00am. Lunch will be served at a cost of $5.00. Chapter 313 members and their significant others are invited. Cutoff date for attendance will be 1 April 2016.
Our Chapters first fundraiser will take place at the Pleasant Valley Walmart on Friday, 15 April and on Saturday, 16 April. The hours of operation will be 8:00am to 6:00pm. Signup sheets will be available at our meeting in March. Our work shifts are two hour segments. Help the Chapter by being a part of this fundraising effort. Last year we fell short of help and some had to work two or three extra shifts. We need the money we raise during this program and we need your help and participation. Please give us two hours at least.
Let us not forget our need for new members. Each member has a responsibility to acquire new members for our Chapter. (continued on page 5)
