MERCER MIDDLE SCHOOL - Living History Day Program
On Thursday, April 21st, a group of our members had a very rewarding and productive day as we traveled to the Mercer Middle School in Aldie, VA to talk with their eighth grade students as a part of their Living History Day. This was the third or fourth year that we (KWVA) along with veterans of WWII, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq have participated, and it seems to get better each year.
Each of us held three - 45 minute sessions with the students as we had the opportunity to tell them about the Korean War and our personal experience during the war. After the sessions, we were served lunch in the library that was prepared by students in the eighth grade. They also presented each of us a personlaized plaque made by the students in the school's woodworking class. It was a great day!

REGIONAL KWVA MEETING
The Antietam Chapter #312 in Hagerstown hosted a regional luncheon meeting in Funkstown, MD on April 13th for KWVA Chapters in the Maryland and Virginia area. It was a great opportunity for us to get together with our neighboring KWVA comrades and renew some old friendships. We thank Les Bishop and his fellow members for their warm hospitality.
