The Shenandoah Valley Chapter #313, KWVA participated again this year in the annual Shenandoah Valley Firefighters Parade held on Friday, April 29, 2016. It was a cold, damp evening, however, the 19 members of our Chapter, plus the sparse but enthusiastic spectators along the parade route, all seemed to have a great time. We, Korean War Veterans again received the apparent grateful and warm (from the heart) reception that we have grown accustomed to, from the standing and cheering crowd. All-in-all, it was another great parade, however, we were all happy to get back into our warm vehicles and turn the heaters on "Full Heat" in order to thaw out as we drove home.

We thank Jack Kronenberger for his usual outstanding job in coordinating the parade for us. Unfortunately, in spit of all his preliminary work in setting it up for us, he was unable to attend due to a brief visit to the Winchester Medical Center. Charles Hoak and Herb Taylor filled in admirably for Jack in his absence.
