COMMANDER'S COMMENTS

A big shout out "Thank You" for all those who work very hard to acquire new members. But let's be mindful of the fact that at our age, new members will always be a constant necessity if we are to continue to be a viable Chapter. Let's remember that the new members will bear the responsibility for carrying forward what you have been doing for the past many years. Let each of us continue to acquire new members. This job is never over.

In my opinion, the outing at the Steakhouse was a big success. I look upon these events as a Chapter family get together. The turnout was great. The evening was filled with good fellowship. I hope that all of you who were in attendance enjoyed this event as much as I did. I wish to

extend my gratitude to "Peachie" DeHaven for his orchestration of this event.

Please, when asked to lend a hand in support of our Chapter's functions step forward and give us a helping hand. If some unforeseen event prevents you from fulfilling your commitment, notify the event Chairman as early as possible. The events that we undertake are directly related to the success and viability (con't on page 4)

Instead of giving a politician the keys to the city, it might be better to change the locks.
