Warden Jenkins

James Warden Jenkins Jr 83 passed away at his home on Friday, July 29, 2016. Warden was born in Frederick County on April 28, 1933, the son of James W. and Rokie Lockhart Jenkins. He served in the U.S. Army in 1953-1955 during the Korean War and was an active member of the Shenandoah Valley Chapter of the Korean War

Veterans Association. He also was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Bethel Lutheran Church and served on the board of Trustees for the St Thomas Chapel in Middletown.

Warden was a quiet and unassuming man, who enjoyed his work as a self-employed plumbing contractor where he earned a reputation for doing quality work at a fair price. He was a member of the 1951 James Wood High School football team, and avid Redskins fan and, back in the 90's coached the Trinity Lutheran Church women's softball team.

Warden is survived by his wife Bernetta, his daughter Debra Jenkins Garber and her husband David, and his daughter Diann Jenkins Daily and her husband Ron, plus two grandchildren.

We wish to express our sympathy to Bernie and her family.

Why pay money to have your family tree traced; go into politics and your opponents will do it for you.              Author Unknown
