Dedication November 20, 2014
The 57,000 square-foot facility is the new home for the 157th Military Police unit and is the hub for the Guard’s training activities. The center also houses the Hardy County Emergency Operations Center.

The Moorefield Readiness Center was dedicated to Cpt. William Herman Denney, Jr. in recognition of his heroic service during the Vietnam War, and, also to
Sgt. Major Edmund Reel in recognition of his heroic service during the Korean War. Both men were from Hardy County, W.Va.
