NOTES FROM THE CHAPLAIN

Every time I call one of our homebound comrades, I hear how much he appreciates the call and how much the camaraderie of our organization means to him.
Try it yourself and you will give a lift to someone – and you, too, will receive a boost! If you can find a few minutes for a visit, try to do that also! These comrades really miss being with the group!
As always, I ask that you advise me or any of our officers if you learn of someone who should be on our concerns list. We can’t help if we don’t know it is needed. This is especially important if someone is in the hospital. I like to visit those, if possible. Please help by keeping us informed!

The month of June began with beautiful weather. Everyone was resting up after the Big DC National Memorial Day Parade on May 29th. June has also turned into a busy month.
Looking forward to the July activities.

Jul 5 Chapter #312 Installation & Luncheon 12:30 pm @ Funkstown, MD. Class A uniform.
Jul 9 Orleans B.C. Veterans program & social. More details to follow.
Jul 11 Chapter #313 Monthly member meeting @ Post 21 American Legion. Lunch @ 1:00 pm. Meeting @ 2:00 pm.
Jul 22 Chapter Display Booth set-up @ SAR event. Middletown Memorial 10:00 am- 4:00 pm.
Jul 23 Chapter 313 Annual Picnic @ Jim Barnett Park.
Jul 26 Twilight Tattoo @ Ft. Myers, VA. Check with Josh Morimoto.
Jul 27 Korean War Armistice ceremony. Spouses invited. Jim Fisher working on bus transportation.
