Homebound Member Visits.

This afternoon, Nov. 19, I had a long almost 2 hour visit with Millard and Jane Pippin.  They are doing well, although he is slowing down, and would really like to welcome more visitors or at least calls.

Leslie and I had a nice long visit yesterday evening, Nov. 18 with Charles and Lea Hoak.  There is no real change in his condition other than he is now on oxygen.  Visitors should call Lea first; the demands of caregiving over such a long period of time must be leaving her weary.

Request for Member Bio's.

In years past, members were requested to submit short stories about their lives leading up to and including their military service. Many submitted their stories and they were published in the following monthly “Chatter” newsletters. In the last two years, we have welcomed many new members to our Chapter. Realizing that the newer members are not aware of this program since none have been published for at least two years, we ask that those who have not submitted their Bio’s, write them up and submit them to the secretary, to be shared in the monthly “Chatter”. If you feel it necessary, ask one of your Chapter Officers to assist you. Any photos you have would be welcome, and returned to you. By publishing these Bio’s, your fellow members have a chance to know you better.

Starting with the January 2020 issue, for the benefit of our newer members, the “Chatter” will be reprinting some of the Bio’s previously submitted. They are all very interesting.

Happy Holidays to All !!!.
