Col. Owen Grogan

On Monday, July 11th, Mary Jane and Lew Ewing were honored by the members of Col. Owen R. Grogan's family to join them as we traveled from Ashburn, VA to Arlington National Cemetery where Owen was laid to rest on top of a hill surrounded by thousands of comrades from all branches of the military and from all wars.

Owen, who is a veteran of three wars, WWII, Korea and Vietnam, passed away on February 29th at his home in Williamsburg. Owen and his wife Sarah, have been close friends since Lew met them in Korea in 2004 when they both participated in the Revisit Korea program. He also was the first Honorary member of our Chapter.

Our sympathy goes out to Sarah and her family.

A member of the U S Army Honor Guard presents the Flag to Mrs. Sarah Grogan following the Military rites for Col. Owen R. Grogan.

FROM THE CHAPLAIN

Rev. Raleigh Watson

Warden Jenkins has been in a rehab facility in Woodstock, but plans are for him to come home and have home hospice care in the near future. His "minor" stroke was much more serious than previously thought. Please keep Warden and his family in your prayers.

Maynard Wilson had a hip operation, is in rehab but should be home by the end of this week.
